Kari A. Merolesi

Kari A. Merolesi focuses her practice on the defense of medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and catastrophic personal injury cases. She defends high exposure claims against physicians and hospitals including cases involving neurologically impaired infants, wrongful death claims and alleged failure to diagnose cancer, amongst others.

Recognized as a Super Lawyer®, Ms. Merolesi defends cases through all stages of litigation, from inception through trial. She represents surgeons, podiatrists, neurosurgeons, internists, orthopedists and other medical and surgical specialists.

Ms. Merolesi also specializes in the defense of nursing home cases involving the development and progression of decubitus ulcers, falls that lead to injuries and all other aspects of alleged negligence in long term care facilities. Ms. Merolesi has extensive knowledge and experience regarding the state and federal regulations that bind long term care facilities.

Ms. Merolesi also handles guardianship and family law matters. She began her career as a trial lawyer and advocate for the rights of abused and neglected children at the Administration for Children’s Services.
