Brendan O’Meara

Brendan O’Meara serves as Senior Trial Counsel specializing in complex litigation in the areas of Labor Law, Construction defects and General Liability matters. Brendan has over twenty-three years of experience throughout New York State and federal courts handling high exposure and complex litigation matters, has tried numerous cases to verdict often in the most difficult venues, and has successfully represented clients in mediation. Brendan is involved in mentoring, training and supervising associate attorneys.

Brendan was formerly associated with a noted insurance defense firm where he handled excess trial matters in complex, catastrophic General Liability and Labor Law actions, often called upon to take over the defense after the close of discovery and before trial, with numerous notable successful outcomes. Brendan previously handled criminal defense matters through trial, including nearly fifty homicide cases and serving as lead for complex investigations involving DNA and the medical examiner’s office.

Mr. O’Meara is a frequent guest speaker on numerous topics relevant to his practice areas, as well as trial strategy and damages mitigation.

Brendan obtained his law degree from the New England School of Law in Boston. He is admitted to practice law before all courts of the State of New York and Massachusetts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Brendan is an avid skier, golfer and mountain biker.
