Daniel G. Federico

Daniel G. Federico is a senior trial attorney who has defended claims involving catastrophic injury in medical malpractice, products liability and construction litigation for more than thirty years.

Formerly a named partner in a Manhattan Litigation Firm, Mr. Federico has represented medical professionals in a broad array of actions, many on behalf of the premier medical institutions in the New York metropolitan area. He also represents clients in disciplinary and regulatory proceedings involving professional licensure.

Mr. Federico is frequently called upon by clients to handle sensitive matters where exposure is high, and the venue is challenging. He has built an impressive record of favorable verdicts and settlements in New York’s most notoriously difficult venues. In other tort litigation, Mr. Federico’s trial successes include labor law, products liability, premises litigation and construction claims. He has argued before the State’s Appellate Courts in matters related to tort litigation and professional discipline.

Mr. Federico is the immediate Past-President of the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association. He has been a speaker for the New York State Bar Association, lectured to the NYS Supreme Court Judge’s Conference and serves on the Supreme Court Medical Malpractice Advisory Committee. Mr. Federico has been an invited lecturer for many of New York State’s Hospital Networks on issues affecting the practice of Law and Medicine and has been a primary speaker at grand rounds and risk management seminars.

Mr. Federico has been recognized annually since 2008 as a New York Super Lawyer, in the area of Medical Malpractice Litigation, a designation limited to only five percent of the attorneys in the New York metropolitan area.
