On July 23, 2025, Jeff Gralnick obtained a defense verdict on behalf of two (2) critical care physicians following a four (4) week jury trial before Justice Kathy King in Supreme Court, New York County.
The family of a 56-year-old male patient alleged that our clients failed to timely diagnose and treat an esophageal fistula, and that the alleged delay in diagnosis resulted in the need for the patient to undergo several surgical procedures including the removal of the his stomach and two-thirds of his right lung thereby causing reliance on supplemental oxygen and tube feedings for the remainder of his life.
Using critical care and thoracic surgery experts, Jeff was able to demonstrate and establish that the clients not only rendered good care but were responsible for saving the patient’s life.
