Steven Horowitz joined the firm in 2021 as Senior Counsel, bringing his 30 years of experience defending the healthcare profession. Over his 25-year career as a litigator, Steven has independently managed medical malpractice cases from inception to trial on actions including birth injuries, surgical complications, orthopedic malpractice and failure to timely diagnose cancer.
From 2015 to 2020, Steven served as Claims Manager for a large New York State medical malpractice insurance company where he supervised a team in the handling of malpractice claims for insured physicians throughout the state. In this capacity, he was involved in the development of case defense strategies with panel counsel and claim reserve analysis.
